Great community resource: local musicians, local food -- both prepared and locally grown and raised -- with an international and organic focus, local crafts...coming on Saturday is like I imagine an old-time market meetingplace looked like. And I always see so many people I love...

Every year I go with my family to Brattleboro Strolling of the heifers parade.
After the parade we always go the the Brattleboro farmers market.
Everybody is friendly and helpful.
We have our garden ready so when we get home we can plant all the vegetable an flowers that we buy there.
We load up on all the great food from the vendors so we can eat and talk about it on our way home.

I love the quiet market in the morning... The Brattleboro Area Farmers Market is a magical place, nestled alongside a stream in the Green Mountains of Vermont. There you can take a magic carpet ride to India, Africa, Thailand and more-- with the tip of your tongue. The market is a village--bustling with the harvest of farms and families. Beauty and color and handiwork abound. Any burden can be lifted there with the sound of strings, a cup of hot chai and a "attitude adjusting" massage.

This gathering is a weekly treat. To be able to eat a yummy lunch from a regular vendor, wander around while musicians have a blast under the tree, buy really fresh veggies and breads, and always see friends.

Brattleboro Farmers' Market is the center of life for our family. We work and laugh non-stop each Saturday from May-October (and once more in November for the die-hards!) The market is anchored by a large maple and bounded by a delightful brook, but the true magic is the commitment we all make to be there, to feed and be fed, body, mind and soul.

With the combination of its beautiful wooded site, diverse vendors, lively music, and very friendly community, the Brattleboro Farmers' Market is the best I've ever gone to. I still try to visit even though I've moved out of the area.
