What a place to be on Saturday! They are now inside and going year round. Just go to the Marble Works area, they're inside the American Flatbread building. There is still produce, meats, cheese, jellies and best of all great crafts. I can get wool for knitting, pottery for myself or gifts or cutting boards. I saw and smelled some wonderful lotions and soaps. Oh, and I sampled some yummy wood fired pizza straight out of the wood fired oven! For a winter market Middlebury still has it going on!! Its so nice to know I don't have to give up that Saturday routine all year.

The market is not only a good source of local produce but a fun place to visit. People often bring their leashed dogs to show them off I think, and they are happy to tell you where they got them. Local musicians are often in action, too, and there are picnic tables to sit at. And what a fine setting with the old Marble Works buildings around, the falls and bridges over Otter Creek, and the spires of local landmarks in the distance.

The MFM is a happening place! Lots of colors and people and music. Oh yes, and good food and produce too!

I love the people. I always learn something from a conversation with someone every time I visit the market. It's the best!

Because the produce, foods, flowers, and cheese are fresh. It is a also a good opportunity to meet and visit with the people who sell their products at the Middlebury Farmers Market.
