It is so nice to find a company with local roots. Michigan is a greater place to live thanks to Brenda Jo. So many people have followed the supermarket and think everything good comes from Califorina. Brenda Jo has found local growers and suppliers that far exceed my expectations. Sure, fresh veggies are slim in winter but you can't beat any thing fresh and local. I really love the local beef and buffalo. It is so lean I must add olive oil to cook it- so much better than the alienated supermarket in town. The meat is of much higher quality. Best of all I know where it came from. The supermarkets makes ground beef in huge vats and has no idea where the cattle are from or what they ate. Once you find out that feeding steers chewing gum and candy is the norm you might not want to eat it. She also found local growers of plants for us that like to garden. In just the few short months since I have joined the group the list of local goods has jumped . I have been talking to my family and local friends and insist they join.

I have been looking for a good source of organic and local foods and I've found it with Brenda Jo's Organic Foods, LLC. You can find everything you need here, local organic vegies and fruits, local meat sources, eggs and a host of other items and Brenda is so willing to help and educate people new to this type of buying! Not only are there great people choices, but there is also healthy pet food so we can keep all of our "family" members healthy.

Brenda Jo organics offers a wide variety of organic foods. Brenda Jo is a wealth of information on health and nutrition. She tries to buy organics from local farmers. In the past year she has supplied buffalo from a local MI farmer and it is superior to any buffalo meat I have purchased from stores. Brenda Jo is very helpful and gives the coop members info on how to store certain produce to last longer, how to use produce that is not the norm, and offers recipes from time to time. She also offers juicing classes and helped me get started with that two years ago. She also purchased superior quality juicers for us to buy. Brenda Jo is always willing to help with any questions that you may have about nutrition. She is a great supporter of small organic farms and small family companies that offer high quality foods. I highly recommend her coop. She is 20 minutes away from me but well worth the distance traveled.
