Buy Local, Be Local! I want to help strengthen our community by supporting lowcountry farmers and businesses. Plus, farmer's market Saturday morning breakfast is the best.

I love the the creative, beautiful, luscious foods and crafts offered in a friendly environment. The organic locally grown food is a special delight to bring home. Its one stop shopping from natural soaps, to a weeks supply of groceries and delectables. All affordable and supporting the community.

just visit our local farmers market and it will be obvious why people support it - it's just good stuff - the best that charleston has to offer, in fact.

I support the Charleston Farmer's Market because it supports both local farmers and local artists. It also supports many programs that provide fresh local veggies to families that cannot afford food, on welfare, or food stamps. Not only does it sell great lowcountry food and veggies--it also supports the community.

We, Charlestonians, know that the VERY best vegatables are grown here locally. I would put our produce grown on Johns Island,( juicy red ripe tomato,s, succulent red ripe watermelons, sweetest red ripe strawberrys,etc...etc..) against any produce grown anywhere in these here United States. If you,ve ever been fortunate enough to have tasted any of these for-mentioned red ripe products, there is NO denying i just happen to have been born and raised in the greatest growing area in these here parts of these here United States of America. GOD BLESS OUR FARMERS! He,s already blessed our soil. To all travelers near and far, do yourseves a favor and come visit our markets. Once you do, you will agree, Duke Sams was born lucky to have enjoyed Charlestons many splendors all his life but especially its tantalizing, home grown produce. PEANUTS, OKRA, STRINGBEANS,SQUASH,ASPARUGUS,OH MY GOD THE CORN(MANY VARIETYS) ,RUTABAGAS,CARROTS,BEANS AND MORE BEANS,SWEET ONIONS, HOT ONIONS, AND SO MUCH MORE. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND COME SEE WHY I AM SO, SO LUCKY. I didn,t mention the seafood we sell at our markets. shrimp the size you like. flounder, trout (summer and winter) redfish, dolfin, cobia, inshore fish, offshore fish, fish from our rivers. Fish from our lakes. Blue crabs the size of your head.Entertainment, basketweavers, just way to much to mention. I,m wore out and hungry.Think i,ll fix a little shrimp and grits and cut up some strawberrys with a little sugar on top. Then a nap is in order out on the porch. SEE YAWL REAL SOON! Duke

The Farmers Market at Marion Square is my lifeline; it makes Saturday the day of the week I look forward to the most. The vendors are wonderful people, who develop caring, personal relationships with their customers. I am committed to buying locally and supporting organic the concept of supporting and sustaining local farmers. The CFM allows me to do so and get fabulous local and organic produce. What's not to like?

Thumbs up to the Charleston Farmer's Market! I think Charleston has one of the best Farmer's markets in the country. Almost all our shopping is done through our CSA and the CFM. The Charleston Farmer's market gives us a way to connect with our local farmers through their fresh fruits and vegetables, farm fresh eggs raw goat milk, wine, plants, herbs and fresh flowers. In addition, there is a lively mix of local juried artisans on site each and every week, a plethora of delicious food vendors and local, live entertainment. It is a Saturday ritual for many of us.

Our farmers market has "charleston-based" farmers and artists selling their products. It's fun and the products are great. The best is seeing and greeting our friends.

Farmers Market at Marion Square has the finest selection of local produce I have encountered in this or any other area. Fields Farms from Johns Island and other local farms allows locals to purchase the best at reasonable prices.
