A True Favorite!

My husband and I went to La Boucherie last weekend for our anniversary, and it exceeded all my expectations. The restaurant is cozy and simple, and it shares space with a large meat case, from which you may also purchase milk, eggs and various meats, acording to what is available. The music was mellow: think Iron and Wine. The 7 course meal was excellent. We stayed for 4 hours, dining and chatting over each delectable delight. La Boucherie even has their own wines, and we tried 3 of them: Revolution 9 (complements tasty meals well), Fetish (a warm shiraz), and a third I cannot remember, that tastes like raspberries. Matt, the manager, was our waiter throughout the night; he was enthusiastic, welcoming, interesting and attentive. The only downside: we live in Tacoma & have to take the ferry; otherwise we'd be stopping by on a bi-weekly basis just to pick up fresh raw milk and our butchery needs.
I discovered La Boucherie and Sea Breeze Farm through Local Harvest and I learned a lot about them from these sites before visiting: http://www.facebook.com/seabreezefarm http://twitter.com/seabreezefarm
