This was one of the first CSAs that I joined. They turned me on to pastured eggs and lamb both of which are excellent. The reason that we left this CSA was due to them having problems and inconsistencies with the business end of their operation.

I've sampled several of Grass is Greener's products from their stand at the Beloit Farmers Market. I've been impressed with each one I've tried. I especially enjoy their preserved goods. They are also associated with Bushel and Pecks, an excellent Beloit farm to table style restaurant which is instrumental in promoting local foods in our area. They are great people and skilled growers. Thanks, Grass is Greener!!

In our CSA we got lamb, chicken, beef, and pork, plus eggs, honey and yogurt. The meat was excellent, especially the pork. I think the best bacon and pork chops I've ever had have come from GIGG.
They would also occasionally offer to include food from other farms, like garlic, cheese, etc, which was very convenient. We had no trouble with picking up our shipments every month.
The farm also holds an open house twice a year. Unfortunately we never got to go to this, but I hear it's a great event to attend.

Grass Is Greener provides an excellent variety of meats. Each shipment contains different cuts of lamb, beef, pork, and chicken (though you can choose to exclude certain meat types). Everything is delicious, from the steaks to the lamb chops to the ribs to the bacon. You can choose to add some extras like eggs and yogurt, both of which are excellent.
The operators are also very friendly and host a gathering at their Wisconsin farm in the summer. Prices are quite reasonable (see their site for details) and the quality is always good. Highly recommended!

We weren't actually having problems with consistency, we raised our prices because we had to, which always makes some customers unhappy.
