Summer 2022 Update: Now taking deposits for half and whole pork shares, ready late fall/early winter. Fill your freezers and lock in prices!
Grass-fed Icelandic Lamb
Perhaps the mildest, most delicious lamb you'll ever taste! Icelandic lamb is prized by chefs the world over for its mild flavor and delicate grain. Our lambs grow on dam's milk and pasture only (no grain, ever), and are free from artificial growth hormones and antibiotics. Our lamb is as healthy as it is tasty.
Our heritage Pastured GOS Pork Gloucestershire Old Spots and Large Black Hogs produce generously marbled pork with rich, succulent flavor, creating moist, tender roasts and chops. Our pork is raised free-range on pasture and woodland, without artificial growth hormones, antibiotics, or feed with animal by-products.
We practice rotational, multi-species grazing to make the most of our land and keep the soil healthy. We don't use pesticides or herbicides, and our animals are not confined to barns. We know all our animals by name, and their welfare is our highest priority. Our lambs are not weaned or separated from their mothers, and our pigs are free to roam, root, and farrow on pasture. We personally transport all our animals to a USDA, humane-certified processing facility that treats them with care and respect.
We sell whole and half lamb and pork shares at a bulk price, custom cut to your specifications. Individual cuts and CSA meat shares are also available (current availability and prices on our website). All cuts are vacuum packed and frozen for pick up on our farm (by appointment only). We offer free delivery within a 30-mile radius on orders over $200, but do not ship. Specialty cuts, including smoked bacon, ham, shoulder roasts and linked sweet Italian and bulk breakfast sausage are available most of the year.
We are happy to help you with a starter flock of our hardy Icelandic sheep, perfectly suited to New England winters. They are a "triple purpose" sheep, producing gourmet-quality meat and a lovely dual-coated fleece, as we as being known for excellent milk production. Feeder piglets and limited registered GOS breeding stock are often available - please inquire!
We are always happy to help with questions or referrals to other local farms if we don't have what you're looking for.
