Iowa Elderberries

We started as a small farm, mostly dedicated to commercially growing elderberries. We were fascinated by the many health benefits these berries provide, so we are working on growing these as naturally and organic as possible. At this time we are not "organic" certified. We are avoiding the use of any chemicals by growing fruit that is well adapted to our area and can handle the local pests on it's own. Currently most our elderberries are Nova and York, but we are also growing a very well adapted local strain, as well as some Missouri native Bob Gordons. Our second harvest will be in 2013. So far things look promising. In 2012 we added 1000 Aronia bushes to our farm. Again, the health benefits are unbelievable. We expect a first harvest of those in 2014. Additionally we grow blackberries and red raspberries. Besides our fruit we sell elderberry cuttings and plants from our nursery.
