Tahoma Vista Fiber Mill and La Vida Alpaca

Family Farm
We purchased our first alpaca in 1993 and immediately fell in love with alpacas and their fiber. I learned to spin, and spinning yarn is still one of my favorite fiber activities. I learned how to braid rugs in March 2016, and when I brought it to the mill to have the felt back added to it, I immediately started looking for my own felting machine. I found a Wade Gease Felting Wizard for sale locally, and decided I needed a bigger carder than my small drum carder to feed it. We found a 24" TexTek industrial carding machine, a picker and a needle felting machine, and Tahoma Vista Fiber Mill was born. We started working on fiber for clients in November 2016, and we also process our own. Owning this business is like a dream come true for us as we have come full circle in the alpaca industry. We love creating beautiful and unique items, both for ourselves and others. Our products have been recognized at the local, state and national level for excellence.

Our farm boutique carries items made from our alpacas and in our mill, including designer rugs, yarns and fibers for spinning and felting. We also carry unique alpaca-themed gifts and souvenirs.

We offer farm and mill tours, as well as classes in various fiber arts techniques. Call 360-894-1273 for an appointment.
