Royal Oak Farm Orchard

Our u-pick apple orchard, located in Northern Illinois near the Wisconsin state line, offers family fun & entertainment in a beautiful 120 acre setting from mid-August through mid-November. We have over 16,000 apple trees and over 30 varieties of apples with new varieties being planted each spring. We also grow late summer Sugar Cube Melons as well as pumpkins, giant pumpkins, gourds and winter squash. And we have the country's only apple tree maze, Amaze 'N Apples, where you can wonder through 1.5 miles of trails with 9 varieties of apples! Or stop by and visit our Bakery for our fresh apple cider donuts and purchase a nice gift for a friend or family member from our Country Market gift shop. If you prefer to pick your own apples or pumpkins, head over to our U-pick entrance on the east side of the orchard at our new Harvest Barn. We provide the containers for your use in picking of all fruit, including apples, and pumpkins so don't bring your own. While you are there, visit our Fruit Tree Nursery and purchase a fruit tree of your own! Don't want to pick your own apples or pumpkins? Then visit our Apple Barn or Harvest Barn for fresh picked apples, melons, pre-picked peaches, pumpkins, squash and our famous apple cider slushees. And don't forget our delicious apple cider, available in our Market, Apple Barn and Harvest Barn! Our Entertainment Area has no admission fee and open hay rides on Friday and Saturday nights. Each guest can purchase Entertainment tokens good for any one of our Train, Carousel, Hay Ride or Orchard Tour rides. Tokens may be purchased at our Snack Shop, Market or Apple Barn are available at $3.00 per token. Please check for operating hours of all rides.
