Each member receives either a full share of vegetables every week (to feed 3-4 people) or a half share every other week (to feed 1-2 people). To ensure that our shares are affordable for everyone, we offer flexible payment options for low-income households, plus you can use your SNAP (formerly known as Food Stamps) benefits to purchase shares.
Our farm partner is Windflower Farm. Windflower Farm is a small family farm located in Taconic Hill country, between the Hudson River and the Vermont border. Ted and Jan Blomgren have been growing organic vegetables and cut flowers for shareholders in New York City for more than ten years. We also offer CSA extras from Lewis Waite farms.
Distribution is every Thursday, typically from end of May or early June through end of October at the Hebron SDA Church located at 1256 Dean Street (on the corner of New York Avenue) in Brooklyn, from 5:00-7:30pm. The CSA is volunteer-run and membership requires two 2-hour work shifts throughout the season.
