Russell Farm & Ranch

We are a 5th generation family farm raising hormone free, all plant diet, beef cattle. Our herd has been owned and managed by the family for over 40 years. The cross-bred cows have an Angus base and calves are not treated with artificial hormones. All feed comes from the Russell farm in Anita and no animal by-products are added to the feed. We hand select our calves and time our slaughter to guarantee all of our beef are at their peak of tenderness and flavor when they are butchered. All of our beef are processed as an individual animal. For example, there is exactly one animal involved in any package of ground beef. Unless you choose some furthering processing with seasoning, there is nothing added to our beef. At Russell Farm & Ranch, you will never purchase trimmings from multiple animals or any of a number of additives commonly used in most beef purchased through conventional retail outlets. We sell beef by the piece at the farm and sell shares of 1/8's , 1/4's, 1/2's and whole reflecting that days market price plus processing cost. Typical 1/4 of beef will be 200lbs carcass wt and approx $650 total cost.
