Sac River Valley Elderberry & Elderflower

One of the best things for us has been the wonderful elderfolks we have met selling our American Elderberrys. We are proud knowing that our elderfolks are getting a top quality product, locally grown.
American elderberry is earning respect due as a premium quality berry. MSU and SMU continue to provide research funded by CDC on the various qualities of elders. The demand is higher than the supply so many folks resort to importing dried berries. Rest assured that our customers receive only berries we grew and harvested on our farm North of Springfield MO. When we are out, we are out until next season.

This is our 6th year to grow and harvest juicy plump elderberrys for our SW MO elderfriends. We sell frozen elderberries ready to use in your favorite recipes. Berries are already destemmed, washed and frozen. Just open the bag, get a scoop out and start creating amazing goodness. We like them added to pancakes.

We rarely even need to use products for pest or disease control on our farm. We use only organic approved products. Quite often we may only need to treat one patch or another since they ripen at different times. We are transparent about our practices.

We support local youth as a first line of harvesters most of July and August. When the youngsters go back to school, we support an over the hill crowd. No matter their age, we call them elderkin.

We're working on developing a harvest and processing system for the flowers. Follow along for more info on that. Flowers make amazing tea, cordial and so much more.
