The Saint Joseph's College Student Farm grows vegetables organically in all four seasons by growing in a seasonal high tunnel (hoophouse), open fields, and more recently in a greenhouse with an aquaponics system where yellow perch supply nutrient rich water to grow herbs. It offers fresh nutrient dense produce through Community-Supported Agriculture, the Rensselaer Farmers' Market, and on campus. The Student Farm serves as a living learning laboratory for students enrolled in sustainability courses, as interns, and as summer employment. They also provide donations to area food pantries.
