We have been certified organic from 1993 to 2011 and have now chosen to farm mostly according to general organic principles rather than inflexible, legalistic certification standards. This local, relationship-based approach to marketing relies on trust, honesty, and integrity. The quality of the food speaks for itself. Customers are welcome to visit and learn about our farming methods.
Our goal is to produce a nutrient-dense, delicious food which is free from GMO's, pesticides, and harmful fertilizers, and to increase soil, plant, animal, and human health. We are increasingly working with at-risk youth, hosting tours and classes, and taking the message of "health from the soil up" to the inner city.

The farm has also achieved verification in the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP). The Livestock, Cropping, and Farmstead system have been verified as environmentally low-risk.

I have been buying chicken, eggs, baby spinach, salad mix, carrots and various other things from Marsh Haven Farms for the last two years. They are a great family and I would recommend them to anyone. Check them out at the Flint Farmer's Market.
Pastured poultry, grass-fed freezer beef, pastured eggs, freezer pork(pigs get greens), grains for livestock feed or the kitchen, and top-quality hay.
