We believe the best meat comes from healthy animals, and animals are most healthy when able to fully express their nature on pasture with plenty of space and organic feed.
Rotational grazing: we move our hogs away from their waste & allow the pasture to rest, long before parasitic buildup and disease can become an issue. As a result our hogs are healthy and parasite free.
Supplemental organic feed from Modesto Milling.
No GMO pasture or fodder. No herbicides or synthetic fertilizers.
No antibiotics or medicines used. Natural gastrointestinal remedies such as organic garlic and organic cider vinegar given as needed.
No body modifications such as tail docking, tooth clipping, ear notching, nose rings, ear tags or castration.
Shelter with straw bedding, shade and wallows for all hogs, all the time.
Never weaned before 12 weeks, (we're experimenting with natural weaning).
Gilts bred after 8 months when fully mature.
We honor our hogs with respect and gentle handling.
