Schlangen Family Farm continues to grow food for our traditional foods community. We specialize in pastured, mono-culture free (no soy, corn, wheat (NO influence from monsanto, glyphosate) eggs, chicken and heritage pork - berkshire and mulefoot - Who else grows barley grass in MN winters for hens n hogs? Our options are available thru Freedom Farms Coop, a collection of private food club members that knows what it means to commit to a real, sustainable food system... The picture here shows how community brooding works with heritage hogs. Notice the snow that is visible through the poly window! Check out www.farmmatch.com for local resources across America! Be well, Alvin

We dropped the Certified Organic designation when USDA got involved in the mass-production of organic foods. Our standards extend beyond those minimums - are based on the microbial life of our soil and livestock, the elimination of toxins at every opportunity - growing and processing. Sprouting/soaking our seeds, growing grass year-round are part of our effort. We call our food Beyond Organic because nature rules! Questions? Please, send an email to the farm - mnorganiceggs at yahoo dot com)
