Our name refers to the flight of Benedict Arnold and the young American Navy following the Battle of Valcour Island in October of 1776. Instead of surrendering his ships to the British forces, Arnold lit the powder magazines and scuttled his entire fleet on the shores of our land, fleeing with his men across the fields that we now farm.
Our meat is USDA inspected, Animal Welfare Approved, and certified grassfed. The management intensive grazing that we practice, affords our livestock a natural rhythm of life and movement across the landscape. It is good for the animals, good for the land, and a lot of work for the farmer! We move our chickens every day and our lambs every two days.
Also for sale are our naturally tanned sheepskins!
We are grass-based and practice intensive rotational grazing and regenerative agriculture.
