Sierra foothills meat buying club there are several local meat and egg producers in the area that direct market to you, the consumer. Many of them have banded together to form the sierra foothill meat buyers club. The club has been in existence for a year and half and was formed to add an additional convenient marketing alternative for consumers. The concept works like this: consumers can go to ceplacer.ucdavis.edu/meat_buyers_club and download an order form. You can order any quantity of individual cuts from five different producers. You can fax or email the order orders are complied then delivered to central delivery points in auburn, penryn, truckee, and lincoln. In january, orders will be taken though march 29th. Deliveries will occur march 31- april 2 between 3:30 _ 5:00 pm each day. You arrive during that time and your order is ready to be picked up. March is a great time to buy locally produced meat and eggs, especially with easter just around the corner. Start buying locally produced food today.
