Simple Roots Farm LLC is focused on raising high quality, healthy animals in the manner that nature intended. Everything we raise is out on pasture and supplemented with local, non-GMO feed. We offer a variety of nutrient-dense, pastured products that include the following: Pastured Eggs - Our heritage egg layers are housed in a portable coop that is moved throughout the pasture in the summer. They are also fed a local blend of non-GMO feed. Pastured Chicken - We have decided to raise a high quality, slower growing breed called freedom rangers for our meat chickens. This breed performs better on pasture and they are much more active than industrial breeds. They have access to fresh grass and all the bugs and insects they desire. Their forage is also supplemented with local non-GMO feed. Heritage Pigs - Our heritage breeds of pigs are able to live how nature intended. They are able to forage, root, and wallow in the mud.
