Our CSA is 21 weeks long, starting the last week of May. All produce is fresh and grown with organic methods. We guarantee that there will be 6-8 items valued at $22-23 each week. We try to offer at least 10 choices each week although early in the season that is not always possible while at peak season there's often even more. We grow a wide variety of vegetables. Some of these include beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, fennel, herbs, kale, kohlrabi, lettuce, peas, radishes, salad mix, spinach, spring onions, strawberries and swiss chard; and that's just what you might expect early in the season! Granted, things can always change due to weather or unseen condition, but even if we lose one or two crops, there will still be plenty to fill up the shares each week and still give members a good variety.
To help members plan what to do with their vegetables, there are a couple of things we are going to do. First, every week we will give members our "best guess" for what's coming the following week. Although that can still change, we can be reasonably sure what will be ready by then. We will also periodically provide recipes that make use of the vegetables that are in your shares to help give you ideas of how to cook them.
If you are interested in our CSA or have questions, please email us or give us a call. We'd love to hear from you.
