McCormick Livestock is an environmentally friendly, diversified ranch located at the base of the Sierra Foothills in Valley Springs, California.
The ranch was established in 2005 with the goal of offering healthy natural meat, from humanely raised animals, at an affordable price, produced on an environmentally friendly ranch. We also provide contract goat grazing services for environmentally friendly fuel load mitigation.
At McCormick Livestock we do not kill native predators, we use predator friendly practices to co-exist with the native animals on our ranches.
All animals on the ranch are handled using low-stress livestock management practices.
The Valley Springs ranch is off the electrical grid. Electricity and water on the ranch are generated by solar power. Some of the water used on the ranch is gravity fed.
McCormick Livestock produces Angus based beef and goat meat.
Our animals graze in open pastures on native forages. They are never fed antibiotics or given growth hormones. The animals are hand fed during the finishing process. They are harvested at a USDA inspected facility, aged for a minimum of 14 days to enhance the flavor and tenderness of the meat. The meat is then hand cut and placed in vacuum sealed 100% barrier proof Cryovac packaging and then frozen.
