Soul Shine Farms proudly offers 100% grass fed, beyond organic, naturally & sustainably raised, USDA inspected, dry aged, angus beef delivered right to you! My grass fed angus beef is allowed to mature the natural way on lush pastures & are NOT given antibiotics or hormones of any kind. They are beyond organic standards in that they are NEVER confined to a feed lot & are free ranging from birth. They eat native grass hay during winter that is made by me here on the farm WITHOUT herbicides, pesticides, or chemical fertilizers, & NO till farming. I use all BAY friendly farming practices! Of course it is MUCH more work intensive & expensive to raise beef this way but it is what we need to get back to for the better health of ourselves, our children, our land, & our communities! It is my hope that the growing demand for clean local beef & the more natural paleo way of eating will eventually help sustain farmers like myself who are taking on the challenges & risks of implementing these better farming practices. I raise my cattle to full slaughter weight of 1200-1300 lbs (unlike some grass fed beef farms) so all the cuts of beef you receive will be of robust size. No little steaks here! Additionally steaks are generously cut 1 inch thick & filet mignons 1 1/4 inches thick. I have also taken the extra steps & expense to have my beef dry aged! The beef hangs at a specific controlled temperature & humidity for a period of 14-21 days to bring out absolute peak flavor & texture. You typically do not find this luxury outside of 5 star steak houses because it is time consuming, space consuming, & expensive. I have partnered with an Animal Welfare Approved butcher because I would insist on nothing less for my cattle. All of my beef is flash frozen, cryo vac sealed, USDA inspected, & individually weighed & labelled. Online orders are shipped to you via UPS 1 day ground in in a sturdy reusable insulated cooler on dry ice & ice packs & 100% recyclable insulator filling. I currently ship to areas that UPS can provide ground service in one day to ensure top freshness of my beef. This currently includes all of VA, D.C., & parts of MD, TN, NC, W.V.
