Splash Loft Farm & Apiary is a small 6 acre homestead straddling the historic Mason/Dixon line. We are members of the York County Beekeepers' Association. Our primary goal is the nurturing of honey bees, helping to ensure honey bee survival. Eighteen colonies of honey bees on the farm provide us and our community with raw honey, along with beeswax and other hive products.

Please feel free to call us for honey bee swarm removal, or if you have honey bees living in your home or out buildings. We will humanely remove them, and safely relocated to live in a hive on our farm.

Heritage and Rare breeds of poultry such as Brahmas and French Marans are kept to offer the most delicious eggs you've ever eaten and to conserve these wonderful historic breeds. We are working along with the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy (www.albc-usa.org) to protect our Heritage breeds from extinction.

We are offering handcrafted, homemade soaps that contain all natural vegetable oils, herbs and essential oils. Currently in stock: Jewelweed Soap: Jewelweed, know as a natural Poison Ivy/Oak treatment, often used to treat bee stings and insect bites. This soap is smooth, silky and great for everyday use.

In 2010 we started with a small heard of Fallow Deer and will periodically update everyone on their status.

In 2012 I started hand spinning local wool for my own use and to offer to the community when available.

In 2013 we purchased a few registerd Shetland Sheep and plan on adding additional breeds to add to our fleece producing flock.

All vegetables, fruits and herbs are grown using organic and biodynamic gardening methods and will be offered when available. Because of our honey bee colonies no pesticides or chemicals are used

Listing last updated on Jun 12, 2016
