Lazy 4T Ranch is a working Quarter Horse and Angus cattle ranch located in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, in the heart of Hardin County. We raise Angus beef cattle on open pasture and offer direct-to-consumer beef shares — whole, half, and quarter — locally processed at Boone's Processing in Bardstown, KY. Our beef is grain-finished for exceptional marbling and flavor, raised with care on our family-owned land.
Beyond beef, Lazy 4T Ranch is a full agritourism destination. We offer guided trail rides, ranch experience getaways, and farm tours that give visitors a real look at working ranch life — from cattle to horses to the daily rhythms of a family operation. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a lifelong horse lover, there's something here for you.
Our AQHA-registered Quarter Horses are the heart of the ranch. Tracy Thompson, a fifth-generation cattleman and lifelong horseman, trains and shows horses in NRCHA and ARHA competition. We offer professional horse boarding, riding lessons for all levels, and a training program focused on ranch horses, head and heel horses, and all-around working horses. Students of all ages and experience levels are welcome.
Lazy 4T Ranch is a family operation — owned and run by Tracy and Michelle Thompson, with their son Tate growing up right alongside the horses and cattle. We believe in honest food, real horsemanship, and sharing the ranch life with anyone who wants to experience it. Come visit us, book a trail ride, or reach out about beef share availability at lazy4tranch.com.
