Squaw creek cattle company, raises hay and texas longhorn cattle.We are marketing limited amounts of pasture raised longhorn beef.Raised in a traditional way(pastured,and dried forage fed) no antibiotics,no growth enhancers, on pastures and hay feilds that have been farmed chemically free for a minimum of 5 years many well past ten.We do not feed grain to our cattle! Our beef will generally be 4% higher in protein then standard breeds and usda test show longhorn beef as being lower in fat and cholestoral then chicken. Enjoy beef with grass fed flavor while getting the health smart benefits. We also market some alfalfa,alfalfa-grass hay each year and wheat straw. Note the wheat straw is baled by us but grown on other local farms(I have no control over how they operate).Every fall we do a few hayrides for small groups.We have hosted the lenawee foster and adoptive families ride annually since 2003. We werent always this good, I grew up on a grainand beef operation,Managed dairy herds and feedlots for 15 years of my adult life. I knew there was a more natural way with cattle that was healthier for them and inheriently better for us. we maintain aprrox 10 cows giving us a herd average of 20 head
