Greenhill Vineyard & Farm grows grapes for the local consumer or small wine maker. Right now we have three varieties: Chambourcin, a French varietal produces a sweet/tart deep red grape that makes a nice red jelly, sweet/tart juice and a nice somewhat dry wine. (Ripen by Labor Day) Seyval, a French varietal that is sweet and produce a nice sweet/light wine. The ripe grape is honey colored and very sweet. Just about ripe. Great for juice, jelly and wine. . WE ENCOURAGE HOME WINEMAKERS OR SMALL WINERIES TO TRY OUR GRAPES THIS YEAR. CONCORDS ARE STILL THE HANDS DOWN FAVORITE. OUR SUPPLY FOR THIS YEAR LOOKS GOOD. WE HAVE 150 PRODUCING CONCORD VINES IN OUR VINEYARD LOADED WITH FRUIT. WE HOPE TO SEE MANY MORE FOLKS OUT THIS SEASON, AND WE INVITE YOU ALL TO STOP BY ANYTIME TO SEE HOW OUR SMALL VINEYARD WORKS.
