Because Oregon does not allow farmers to sell rabbit or chicken meat directly, I use the CSA system. When someone wants rabbit, they "pay" for it by providing the feed to raise it. The work they do is delivering the feed to One Acre Farm.
Then I prepare their individual "CSA basket" with rabbit and any other items. So every basket is individual. ALL things are not available, it's the SHARE the SURPLUS part of Permaculture!
Season: January
Type: single farm
On demand only. PLEASE email for more info.
As a disabled senior citizen, getting feed delivered to the farm can be costly. So if everyone who wants a rabbit brings me a bag of feed, it works out to a cost per pound of meat to be slightly under $6. a pound.
For more information, write Stella Jane and ask about rabbits or other farm products. I teach canning for 40 years,.
