Stony Ridge Farm

I've been growing vegetables for a few years. Originally, I started growing vegetables to supply food for the family. More recently I have become interested in the local food movement. I would love to see Maine producing most of its own food as it did not so long ago! A few of years ago I started a small CSA; the second year I expanded it and this year I became a member of multi-farm CSA. I have also been selling produce to some well known local markets in the Waterville area. Last fall I built a large greenhouse in which I am growing some beautiful tomatoes as well as peppers, eggplant and a few other crops. I hope to use the greenhouse to extend the growing season well into the fall months and to get an earlier start in the spring.
