Raising & marketing bison since 1995 we are certified Animal Welfare Approved and 100% Grassfed Bison by A Greener World. Our practices include Restoration Agriculture, working to build soil fertility through rotational grazing, no chemical inputs, soil testing to evaluate soil health. Our animals are kept healthy with high quality grasses, mineral supplement, and apple cider vinegar. We use no vaccinations, growth hormones, or antibiotics. In 8 years since the inclusion of ACV we have not had any animals that required medical treatment. We utilize humane field harvest to prevent stress in the animals prior to slaughter.
Our primary marketing "tool" is a Log Cabin Mobile Store which we use to go to Farmers' Markets and is parked at the ranch the rest of the time. Visitors are welcome but should call ahead.
In addition to frozen meat we have freeze-dried raw meat/organ meat chunks recommended for pets. We also make bone broth and freeze-dry it for sale as a shelf-stable product. The fat which cooks out of the broth is available as purified tallow for cooking or skin care or made into soap.
