Straus Home Ranch & California Cheese Trail

Located on Tomales Bay, on the coast of West Marin, our ranch has been certified organic since the early 1990s.

Our family has been deeply involved in the organic / sustainable / environmental movements for many decades, in many different ways. Down the road, our brother run Straus Family Creamery (which is entirely separate from us).

In recent years, we've transformed our ranch into a wedding & events venue, and vacation rental in our family home. However, hosting groups of people gathering together makes for a lousy Covid-era business. So, in 2021, we've launched another business ... artisan & farmstead cheese, delivery throughout California.

This is a partnership with CheeseTrail.org, a non-profit effort created by our sister Vivien Straus in 2010 to support local cheesemakers, who are busy making cheese without a lot of time to sell it.
