Started in 1973, by my grandparents, we sold pecans a few years in a row when the trees started producing. The drip irrigation system began to fail & some trees died off, but many were spared. We aren't a huge operation, just family - my parents, my 2 children, & other family members pitching in from time to time, no employees. Located just outside the city limits, we are lucky to have wildlife such as fox, hawks, dove, quail, bobcat, coyote, & of course various snake, lizard & other crawly species. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the excellent number of Texas horned lizards (horny toads) that enjoy life at our place!
We've had a couple of really good pecan crops the last few years, & have decided to sell some.
Our trees are never treated with pesticides or herbicides, just west Texas well water & rain when we're blessed with it.
