Sunflower Ridge Farm

Reviving an historic farmstead near Van Buren, Ohio, Sunflower Ridge Farm is in the process of developing a CSA program, and local farmer's markets stand. Our vegetables are grown following the best organic and natural growing practices, and we will be seeking either organic certification or Certified Naturally Grown recognition as we progress. We will begin seeking our first CSA members in the fall of 2015. The feel of a traditional farmstead will return to Sunflower Ridge Farm throughout the seasons, as the historic barn is restored, and gardens, livestock, and people return to the land. When you sign up to be a Sunflower Ridge Farm CSA member, or you visit us at the farmers market, we will become your farmers, and our farm will become a place you can call your own. Sunflower Ridge Farm will be YOUR farm. A place you can take pride in, and draw comfort from. Comfort in knowing where some of your food comes from, and comfort in joining a mutually beneficial arrangement with a hard working farm family. Sunflower Ridge Farm will become your connection to the land, your connection to the seasons. When you drive by on a gentle Sunday afternoon, you can stop and say "hi!", shake hands, take a look around, and see YOUR vegetables growing, visit the chickens that lay YOUR egss. Maybe pick a few things for your drive home, some berries, or an apple or two, and leave with a feeling of contentment, and a longing to come back. A Sunflower Ridge Farm CSA membership will be so much more than a basket of fresh vegetables in your kitchen each week, it will make the farm a part of your life.
