Sweet Harmony Farm is a small, fiber-focused alpaca farm, comprised of myself and my husband, Daniel. We have a growing herd of fiber males that seem to find their way to our little farm, in a variety of the natural alpaca colors. We are also dedicated to building and growing a strong alpaca fiber industry in North America.
Sweet Harmony Farm's mission is simple: to create a healthy planet through sustainable agriculture. Alpacas have a very small impact on the environment they live in; they tread lightly on Earth. Fiber farms are a sustainable local resource.
We have been asked: And what do you do with the fiber? A lot of the fiber is hand processed/hand-spun by me. We are handweaving with our alpaca yarn on various looms, creating all sorts of fun things to wear and use, such as: shawls, scarves, hats, rugs, tablet and smartphone covers and other accessories, also hand knit/crocheted items such as baby hats and sweaters, fingerless gloves, etc. Some yarns are mini-millspun, by local mills.
We support small local farms, local agriculture, and local markets.
