Ghost Valley Farm

We raise rare, heritage poultry, focusing on breeds listed by the Livestock Conservancy. Our birds include the impressive Langshan and the cuddly Cochin, and we specialize in exhibition-quality bantam breeds. We aim to steward the breeds by continuing to breed to the standard and focusing on vigor in our breeding stock. 

We offer hatching eggs, chicks, and grow-outs that are both beautiful and healthy. Right now, we are developing a dual-purpose large-fowl that offers both light and dark meat, big Langshan drumsticks, and the rich heritage flavor and texture you won’t find in stores.

Eggs, chicks, and grow outs are available starting in February/March, with the geese in lay until April or May when the outside temperature is consistently 85* or above. 

The same focus on conformation, vigor, and care is applied to our geese, which include Embdens and buff and blue Americans. You can buy eggs for eating, hatching, or for traditional egg crafts. We can't forget our start in soap and cosmetics. Using local and homegrown ingredients, we craft everything from traditional and regional soaps to face and eye creams to white-labeled product lines. Available online and at local events, we also offer homegrown herbs, sustainable home goods, gourd art, and so much more.
