Templewood Farm

We are a new farm on 78 acres of woods and pasture 30 minutes east of Des Moines, outside Colfax, Iowa. We succeeded in our first year of raising hogs (10) and are raising 30 in 2016! We have installed a permaculture orchard and plan on adding; an aquaponics greenhouse for winter greens (and fish), and are putting in a willow planting for forage and crafting. We will be building small cabins/tiny houses, etc for cooperative worker/ members and camping retreats. We are interested in self-sufficiency, Green building/living practices, art, celebration, and could see the space being available for green & alternative meetings/camp-outs/festivals/classes.
