The Boxcar Farm & Garden

We are a small, sustainable farm on the Blackland Prairie in Maxwell, TX. We specialize in raising heritage breed pigs, but also raise turkeys and meat birds. We raise our animals on pasture using Holistic Management practices, ensuring that we do what's best not only for the animals, but for soil health and biodiversity. We only feed nonGMO feeds to supplement what the animals forage on pasture. We are also working to provide organic fruit, vegetables, and duck eggs. We purchased our property in August 2014 and are working hard to provide nourishing, wholesome food for our community! Please check back periodically for updates.
