Our growing season will be 20 weeks starting May 1, 2013 thru August 31, 2013.
A full share will consist of 8 to 15 pounds of produce but the amount of produce may vary during the peak of summer. A full share over the entire 20 week season at 8 pounds a week would be 160 pounds of fruits and vegetables. A half share consists of the same amount of produce as the full share just on an every other week schedule.
A full share will cost $25 a week for a total of 20 weeks equaling $500. A half share will cost $30 a week for 10 weeks for a total of $300.
Along with the whole or half shares we will have add on shares of free range cage free chicken eggs, shares of meat predominantly pork, dairy shares which could include milk, butter and cheese, and hopefully by mid summer fresh all natural honey. These add ons are not set in stone but feel free to contact me if any of the add on shares interest you.
Whether a full or half share is purchased there will be bonus items included in your share. Once a month we will have farm day activities for you and your family to participate in, from learning to can up your extra produce for later in the year to turning fresh milk into butter.
