The Farm Next Door is a quaint, 41 acre pastured livestock farm in Northeast Texas just outside the tiny town of Omaha. We are a grass-based farm meaning we raise our livestock out on pasture and in wood-lots. Being a brand new farm, we currently specialize in pastured poultry and wood-lot raised pork with pastured, free-range eggs, raw honey, and grass-finished beef coming very soon. Our belief is that each animal was designed for a purpose and we choose to allow that animal to exercise their physiological distinctiveness (i.e. the pig-ness of a pig or the chicken-ness of a chicken). All of our animals are free to forage for a majority of their diet off the land and are supplemented with a non-GMO, non-soy feed offered free choice. The Farm Next Door does not use any form of antibiotics, growth hormones, or synthetics.
We also believe that consumers (that's you and me) have a very important role to play in our food production system. Whether it is supporting your local farmer with your food dollar or visiting your farm to rediscover and reconnect your biological umbilical, we invite you to know your food and know your farmer.
