The Farmer's Wife is based on some pretty basic ideas. Do things like our grandparents did. Work hard, Eat clean, Spend quality time with people we want to share it with. That's all! Everything on the staple menu is brought to you with love. Food my children grew up eating for Sunday dinner. We have perfected the recipes over the years and invite you to our table to share in some classic American favorites. "Sunday Dinner" My husband grew up on a 5 generation Dairy Farm in Massachussetts. His favorites on the menu include Stuffed Quahogs (Co-hog), Lobster Rolls, Crab Cakes. Another favorite dish comes from our love of the South, Shrimp and Andouille Gumbo. I know they're not 100% local but they are organic. We use local farmers, meat handlers and RSA's such as, Kettle Range Meats, Growing Power, LOTFOTL, and Braise RSA. Check out the list when you come in for a visit.

So I grew up learning to eat what was fresh and canning was important to have the best even in off season. In 1985 I married a Sailor from the East Coast who was born and raised on a five generation Dairy farm. You guessed it, that's how I came to be The Farmer's Wife!
