The Garlic Grove

The Garlic Grove is a small family farm specializing in organically grown gourmet garlic. We are located in Eugene, Oregon. We began growing garlic in 2015 on our small plot of fertile land. For years we would spend so much time trimming and mowing a good sized field that was constantly overrun with blackberries and tall grass. It occurred to us that this size of field (an acre) is too small to grow many types of produce, but yet it is too big to just allow it to grow weeds, grass, and blackberries! It felt so wasteful! So we were on the hunt for something that could be farmed here for reasonable profit, while helping us feel like the work we were doing had purpose and was not in vain! (Trust me, constantly battling blackberries can leave one feeling defeated!) Well garlic has been good to us! We don't use any chemicals, and we do all our weeding and harvest by hand. This soil turns out some of the most beautiful heads of garlic we've ever seen. And the flavor is amazing! Some of the garlic varieties are hot, some varieties are mild - but all are delicious!
