The Happy Berry

The Happy Berry, a pick-your-own farm, is nestle in the foot hills of the South Carolina mountains by the shores of an 18,000 acre lake known as Keowee. The main crops are blueberries, blackberries, figs, muscadines, seedless Kaki sweet persimmons and seedless muscadines. Pussy Willows are also grown from Xmas till Easter.Starting in 2013 we are adding, persimmons and fall bearing blackberries. In 2014 Dwarf black mulberries so look for these in a few years. We maximize the harvest season by planting several different varieties of of each crop so berries can be picked from June 1 till early mid November. January thru April we do pussy willows programs at home shows and garden clubs and are open on Saturdays. We also sell our products through Clemson Area Food Exchange(CAFE).

PICKING BERRIES IS FUN and a great break from fast paced lifestyles. We have containers or you can bring your own(preferrd). The grass is mowed; we have a berry buggy to asist handicapped people in getting in and out of the field if needed; a port-o-potty, picnic tables, and free ice water are available.

Lake Keowee is only minutes from the farm and we are within reasonable drive of any recreation you may choose whether it's boating, swimming, hiking, biking or rafting.
