The Hudson Valley Fiber Co.

Hudson Valley Fiber Company is a small organization dedicated to supporting and promoting local and regional fiber farmers. We purchase raw fiber (mainly alpaca, mohair, llama, angora) and wool from regional breeders at market prices, and create unique and beautifully blended roving and yarn, which we than sell back into the local markets. We also offer consignment services for farms who have processed their own fiber, but don't have the time to market and sell it. Participating farms are encouraged to provide their own label to encourage visits to their farms. We also provide venues for fiber farming and fiber arts education. We are currently running knitting classes at the Katonah Art Center, and will be cohosting fiber farming seminars with Muscoot Farm (Westchester County Parks) in November 2005. Our family run farm, Pawling Alpacas, is in Dutchess County, New York. We love to talk about our herd, and encourage farm tours!
