The Plant Lady at Central Market is a farmer's market stand specializing in heirloom and organic vegetable plants for all your gardening needs. The business grew out of my love of gardening, and all those extra seedling you always end up with after starting your own seeds! Know where your seeds are coming from, who is growing them, and how they are grown.
Grand Opening Weekend for 2010 is this weekend, May 7-9! Visit us outside market on Friday for May's First Friday. I'll be inside on Saturday, and then we'll be outside market again on Sunday for The Olde York Street Fair. A grand old York tradition. And if you haven't stopped by to meet him yet, come say "hi!" to Liam, our newest member of the family. He's only 4 months old and already digging in the dirt! I guess it runs in the family.
This year our plants are looking great! I just checked in on them and they're getting big. This year our plants are being grown at Miller's Plant Farm. Steve & Dustyn have them looking good and ready for pick up on Mother's Day Weekend, at Central Market. If you would like to pick anything up in the way of cold crops, including lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, bok choi, & more, please feel free to stop by any time Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday.
The herb offerings this year are great, and Jason at Spring Thyme Nursery has tweaked his soil a little bit, and the herbs are looking better than ever. If you have a special request, let me know! I will do my best to get it for you. The list is too long to post in its entirety. Also, I have good news on the bay laurel front, they're looking great this year, and I can now offer you lemongrass!
