We are family business striving to produce the best lamb and chicken in North Texas. We raise our poultry on pasture, and promise 100% grass-fed lamb. We use only holistic and sustainable ranching practices and our animals are never given hormones or antibiotics or GMO feed. We sell our products directly to our customers through our website thompsonmeatco.com and to local restaurants.
Our pastured chicken is available now and we have whole roasting birds as well as packages of boneless skinless breasts and bone in/skin on legs and thighs. You can arrange bulk purchases through our website or pick up meat at our partner farm, Cardo's Farm Project located at 1599 Mingo Road in Denton TX.
We raise Katahdin ewes that we cross with Dorper rams and expect to have lamb available for sale throughout the year. Email us if you are interested in being placed on a waiting list for grass fed lamb.
Owner and rancher, Patrick Thompson has over five years of farm and ranch experience. Through internships in Texas, New Mexico and working at Heifer Ranch in Perryville, Arkansas he learned sustainable ranching practices that he has put into place on his own ranch located in Denton, TX. Pat's wife, Heather Gregory is co-owner and operations manager and has worked on organic farms and ranches in Southwest Colorado, Oregon and at Cardo's Farm Project in Denton, TX. She has over five years of experience in operating successful small businesses, marketing and community organizing.
Thompson Meat Co was established in the fall of 2013. Both Patrick and Heather work to bring local meat to the Denton Community by raising healthy animals that create a healthy and delicious and high quality product.
