Thompson Street Farm LLC:
Brenda Sullivan is the owner of Thompson Street Farm LLC and is CT�s first SPIN Farm (Small Plot Intensive Farm). The farm itself is on 1.3 acres in South Glastonbury Connecticut and grows small leafy greens, herbs and small vegetables in 22 raised beds and in various types of containers. In addition to growing leafy greens, Brenda also grows shiitake mushrooms and wine cap mushrooms. Brenda also specializes in growing micro-greens which she has sold to restaurants, caterers and Farmers Markets. In addition to her own property, Brenda leases 3/4 acre of farmland and grows produce including green beans, leafy greens, tomatoes, celery and amaranth (experimental) using the SPIN Farming method.
Thompson Street Farm is a Pledge Farm through CT-NOFA (Northeast Organic Farmers Association) and uses no chemicals and/or pesticides and follows the growing guidelines for organic growers.
Bednarz Farm:
Gordon Bednarz is the owner of Bednarz Farm. Primarily organic and some conventionally grown. Sweet corn and strawberries are only grown conventionally. Tomatoes, peppers, summer squash, winter squash, eggplant, kale, and greens are grown USDA organically unless otherwise stated. Our Cooperative CSA Program:
Full Share: Thompson Street Farm LLC and Bednarz Farm are offering a 20 share CSA Cooperative. A full share will cost $500 for 20 weeks which consists a bag of products from both farms with a value not less than $25.00 per week.
Half Share: This is an ala carte share - each week we there will be a list of products that the customer can pick from to equal the value ($12.50) of their weekly basket.
Microgreens only: Thompson Street Farm is offering micrgreens for $240 for 20 weeks. Shares will consist of a variety of micro greens with a value not less than $12.00 per week.
