We are happy to announce our third year of growing organic, local and ethical food. We are a small family farm on 120 acres. We are unique in the fact that our farm has almost zero carbon in it's footprint. We are completely off-grid using wind and solar to power our home, our barn, pump our water and refrigerate our eggs. It is a wonderful way to live and we are welcome to share our knowledge with anyone who wish to ask.
We will be offering a limited number of garden shares for 2011. We offer shares on a week to week basis with NO COMMITMENT. Shares are $25 a week for a basket of seasonal vegetables, herbs and cut flowers. For an additional $2.50 a week you can receive a dozen of chicken or duck eggs with your weekly basket.
Our other products are available upon request. Currently we are offering the following:
1. Chicken eggs $3.00 a doz
2. Duck eggs $4.00 a doz
3. Individual pork cuts available in May and December
4. Beef available December 2011, contact for prices on half and quarters. I expect this to be sold out completely by summer. We raise a unique Highland/Angus cross that is extremely healthy and completely grass fed.
5. We will raise meat chickens once a year starting in June. We only raise what we have a demand for. If you are interested in free range chicken meat please contact me no later then May 15. We will raise turkeys and geese on request only.
6. We are thrilled to announce that we will be starting a dairy goat operation in the coming year to provide milk products.
7. I specialize in making custom soaps, tonics, and aromatherapy. All orders include a one on one consultation to determine individual needs. The products I make are specifically made for you as an individual rather then bulk. I also provide some herbal remedies for external needs.
8. Renewable energy consultations, audits and system planning done by Sean Fendt.
Please email Kim to get on our mailing list, inquiries and visits. We encourage folks to come out and see for yourself how our animals and crops are raised.
I will also be offering classes on canning, candle making, soap making and natural healing with herbs over the year.
We look forward to hearing from you! Please feel free to visit, ask questions or advice on your own gardening, backyard chickens, renewable energy, and ethical meat production.
