Located between Charlottesville and Lynchburg and nestled into our precious nook of the Blue Ridge Mountains overlooking the James River, Timshel Permaculture Farm is a three hundred acre regenerative farm focused on fostering ecologically harmonic, diverse, purposeful, natural, and life-abundant systems. Our mission is to restore the land; heal the soul; and nourish the body. We raise 100% pastured poultry (fed with fermented, soy-free, and Certified Organic supplemental feed) alongside a wealth of nutrient dense and biodynamic acres under perennially based holistic nurseries and orchards, food forests / forest gardens, and vegetable and herb gardens. Our pastured poultry operation seeks to mimic and enhance the patterns and perfection of nature and its inextricably complex web of interrelationships. After our chicks spend their fragile first two weeks in our clean, bright, and open-air brooder house, we set them out to pasture in our "chicken tractors," where they rotationally graze freely and abundantly. With the utmost liberty, they select their daily bounty of lush pasture, fescue, bountiful clover, protein-dense insects, soil organisms, and non-GMO and soy-free feed. We absolutely and entirely do not provide or use any hormones, fertilizers, antibiotics, vaccinations, medications, synthetic vitamins, appetite stimulants, injections, irradiations, herbicides, fungicides, pesticides, GMOs, or chlorine baths to our land or flock.
