CSA: TurkeyFoot Farm

WHAT IS CSA: Community Supported Agriculture is a partnership between farmers and community members. Customers ( Members) enjoy weekly pickups of fresh produce throughout the growing season after paying a discounted price before the growing season begins. This also helps the farmer buy seeds, compost, potting mix and much more. Most of all the supplies for the farming season have to be bought before the season starts producing marketable veggies, so this upfront payment really gets the farm off to a great start.

How it works : Your ?CSA share? provides you with an assortment of fresh vegetables picked up at the farm right after they are harvested or at the farmers market each week. Pickups are Fridays or Saturdays and run for 20 weeks from mid May through mid October.CSA pickups are on the farm Fridays 3 to 5 pm CST and Saturdays at Skips European Farmers Market New Buffalo Michigan from 9 to 3 pm EST . A Whole share provides a good amount of produce for 2 to 4 people and a half share is sized for 1 to 2 people, depending on there love of veggies.

CSA with Choice: We offer our CSA in 3 seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and a full season Farmers Basket. This way you can choose which season works best for you. Our CSA model offers the freedom to choose what veggies you take home when you pick up. Weekly harvests consist of up to 16 different veggies according to what is in season. Half share members choose 4 to 6 items and whole share members 7 to 9 items. We grow many unique and popular varieties of 30 different vegetables. Also part of your CSA membership is the opportunity to cut flowers and fresh herbs throughout the season.
