Twelve Stones Farm

We are a humble, father-son-operated, direct-to-consumer organic sheep start-up operation in Henry County, Tennessee. We raise 100% organic grass-fed hair sheep for meat and breed stock. No grain, antibiotics, vaccines, GMO products, or barns.

Currently, we run our sheep on 100% leased land, so though centralized here, we move where the grass and land are available. At this time, we have approximately 70 sheep in all, almost 40 of which are ewes, with 25 more ewes from Greg Judy's breed stock on the way in August. We raise both purebred St. Croix and St. Croix / Katahdin cross, the latter came from Greg Judy's 2023 breed stock.

With our management utilizing intensive rotational grazing, we provide our sheep with a high quality of life. Constant access to fresh forage from new paddocks every day, along with fresh well water and quality mineral salt daily.

We believe there is a structure and order to the natural processes of the earth; an intentional design by a Creator. As a result, we believe we should work with these natural processes and not against them. That is why we are constantly moving our animals.

We take land that a cow would starve to death on and produce a beautiful, healthy, and thriving flock of sheep. We prove every day that you don't need grain, barns, or antibiotics to raise sheep. We select for the animals that are adapted to our climate, forage, and environment. No crutches, no pampering. The strongest reproduce, the weak are culled. So, as a result, our flock only becomes stronger and more productive with each successive generation.
